After nearly ten unforgettable years with Patient Advocate Foundation, the time has come for me to say goodbye and begin a new chapter in life — retirement in France. While I am incredibly excited for what lies ahead, leaving this organization and the extraordinary people within it is far from easy. As I reflect on this journey, I am overwhelmed with gratitude, pride, and appreciation for everything we built together.

I joined Patient Advocate Foundation in September 2016 as the organization’s very first research hire. At the time, we were laying the groundwork for what patient-engaged research could become within PAF. Looking back now, I could never have imagined how much that vision would grow. Together, we built a research infrastructure that connected us with more than 25 academic and nonprofit research partners, creating meaningful collaborations that elevated the patient voice and strengthened the impact of our work across the healthcare landscape.

Over these years, I had the privilege of co-authoring nearly 30 peer-reviewed publications and supporting countless presentations at more than 40 conferences through podium and poster sessions. More importantly, I had the opportunity to mentor and support talented colleagues who shared a passion for improving patient outcomes through research and advocacy. Watching the research team grow into four strong, independent, and exceptionally talented women has been one of the greatest joys and accomplishments of my career.

I am also incredibly proud to have helped launch the Patient Insight Institute and contribute to the development of a diverse research track for the Patient Insight Congress. These initiatives represented more than professional milestones — they reflected a shared commitment to ensuring that patient experiences and insights remain central to healthcare conversations, policy discussions, and innovation.

One of the greatest privileges of my time at PAF was working alongside such an incredible and dedicated team. I have been especially inspired watching the Data and Reporting Department, under the leadership of Eric Anderson, evolve from a primarily case-management reporting function into a truly cross-functional team that supports every department across the organization. Seeing that transformation firsthand has been remarkable and a testament to the talent, adaptability, and collaborative spirit that defines this organization.

As PAF enters this exciting next chapter within a newly merged organization, I feel tremendous optimism for the future. The foundation that has been built, the passion of the people who carry this work forward, and the unwavering commitment to patients will continue to drive meaningful change for years to come. I have no doubt this team will continue to innovate, grow, and make an even greater impact.

While I may be retiring and beginning a new adventure abroad, I will carry the memories, accomplishments, friendships, and camaraderie of this team with me always. The work we accomplished together has meant more to me than words can fully express, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this journey.

This may be goodbye, but I will never forget this team, this mission, or the incredible years we shared together. Thank you for allowing me to be part of something so meaningful. I wish each of you continued success, fulfillment, and joy in all that lies ahead.
